Hop-Top Billet Casting Table
The hot-top billet casting table is a key mold system used in aluminum alloy melting and casting lines. The casting table is designed to solidify molten aluminum alloy into round billets through vertical semi-continuous direct chill (DC) casting.
The billet casting table is suitable for aluminum extrusion plants, aluminum alloy casthouses, and secondary aluminum recycling facilities producing round billets in various sizes and alloy grades.
- Optimized Mold Layout
The mold arrangement is designed to make efficient use of available casting-pit space, allowing multiple billets to be cast simultaneously and increasing output per casting cycle. - Refractory Components
Key components, including the distribution plate and thimbles, are made from refractory materials resistant to molten aluminum. The refractory components help reduce aluminum sticking while providing effective thermal insulation. - System Integration
The casting table can be integrated with a precision speed-controlled lifting system, water-cooling system, and temperature-monitoring system to support smooth and stable casting operation. - Spare Parts Supply
To minimize customer maintenance overhead and reduce potential downtime, common wear parts, including spare mold assemblies, sealing rings, thimbles, and graphite rings, are available to support routine maintenance.
