Aluminum Degassing & Filtration Systems
Degassing and filtration are important molten aluminum treatment stages between melting and casting. They are used to reduce dissolved gas and remove non-metallic inclusions, oxides and other impurities from the molten aluminum before it enters the casting process.
Huitai provides box-type and launder-type in-line degassing systems, ceramic foam filter boxes and electrically heated filter boxes for aluminum casting applications. Equipment is configured according to the alloy, molten aluminum flow rate, casting process, launder arrangement, temperature requirements and the customer’s existing production line. The final treatment process and equipment combination are confirmed according to each project requirement.
The aluminum degassing and filtration systems are designed for:
- Removal of dissolved hydrogen from molten aluminum
- Removal of non-metallic inclusions
