Aluminum Dross Recovery System
Aluminum dross is generated during aluminum melting and molten-metal treatment and may still contain recoverable metallic aluminum. The dross recovery process is used to separate reusable aluminum from the remaining dross and to prepare the residual material for further processing.
Huitai provides aluminum dross recovery systems that can include hot dross separation, dross cooling, crushing or grinding, and screening equipment. The system configuration is selected according to the dross source, material condition, processing capacity, required recovery process and plant conditions. Final equipment scope and process arrangement are confirmed according to each project requirement.
The dross recycling system is suitable for aluminum melting, casting, and secondary aluminum production.
- Hot aluminum dross enters the dross separator
- Mechanical stirring separates recoverable aluminum from the dross
- The remaining dross is transferred to the cooling system
- Water spray rapidly cools the hot dross
- The cooled material is crushed and ground in the ball mill
- Multi-stage screening classifies the processed material by particle size
- Recoverable aluminum is separated and collected
- Larger aluminum particles are returned to the melting furnace for reuse
